Ceresist.

Ceresist was established in 1996 as a ceramic-lined pipe manufacturer. Their piping was initially sold primarily to ceramic valve manufacturers as a complementary product to solve pipe wear downstream of control valves. Since then, Ceresist’s product portfolio has grown to include a wide array of abrasion-resistant process products, with many more in development. They have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and manufacturing ceramic piping, fittings, valves, orifice plates, and ancillary products.

Ceresist’s products are designed with long-term service in mind. Utilizing the finest materials to manufacture their products ensures customers have the longest trouble-free and maintenance-free service life in the industry. They aim to do everything the right way the first time.

Ceresist also believes in long-term, personal relationships with their selected vendors and suppliers, assuring high-quality, consistent raw materials and quick turn-around times; allowing them to provide the highest possible service to their customers.

Advantages of choosing Ceresist’s ceramic-lining options are:

  • Zero flange leakage: ensuring that the ceramic lining is precisely flush with the flange sealing surface through their AccuGrind process.
  • Corrosion resistance: products that they provide have all gone through rigorous testing using aggressive acids and bases at various temperatures.
  • Erosion resistance: ceramic materials chosen based on service. However, alumina and silicon carbide ceramics used most frequently due to their ability to withstand erosion and wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and low long-term cost savings.

Ceramic-Lined Pipe and Fittings

The use of Ceresist ceramic-lined pipe and fitting is ideal in services that are prone to erosive wear, and where standard pipe and fittings would fail within 24 months or less.

Ceresist ceramic-lined pipe and fittings are designed to outlast linings such as glass, rubber, basalt, hard-facings, and coatings that are commonly used to extend the life of piping systems. All pipe and fittings feature extremely wear-resistant ceramics that are also exceptionally corrosion-resistant.

Ceramic Wear Resistant Tiles

Ceramic tiles have excellent abrasion and wear-resistant qualities and are ideal for use in transfer chutes, piping systems, hoppers, etc. Typical markets include grain, coal-fired power generation, mining, cement, and more.

Ceresist stocks and distributes a full range of high-density, fine-grain, wear-resistant alumina ceramic wear tiles to prevent erosion and abrasion in conveying and bulk material handling systems. Their CER-1200 grade of alumina ceramic is next to diamond in hardness, is 12 times more wear-resistant than carbon steel, and exhibits excellent corrosion resistance.

Process Industries

Ceresist CeramFlex™ series ceramic-lined flexible hoses are ideal for highly aggressive services where conventional rubber hose, expansion joints, or bellows connections require frequent replacement. CeramFlex™ hoses may also be used to isolate mechanical vibration or to connect non-stationary equipment.

Ceramic-Lined Hoses

In response to growing demands for environmental protection against global warming, acid rain, increasing CFC’s and pollution, more and more preventive actions are urgently needed. For applications found within environmental protection systems and energy preservation, a butterfly valve should satisfy various severe requirements including control capability under high temperature and pressure conditions. Taking an example of a geothermal power plant, a butterfly valve must withstand coarse sand, pointed fragments of rocks, and other hard debris. As for the flue-gas desulfurization system of a fossil thermal power plant, the butterfly valves applied should be resistant to corrosion and erosion. With their outstanding features and capability, TOMOE butterfly valves are constantly supporting the environmental protection systems and public utilities of today.

Ceramic Mats

Ceresist provides matting solutions, such as ceramic/rubber mats and wear-resistant hex mats.

Ceramic / rubber mats provide excellent erosion, impact, and sliding abrasion resistance in severely aggressive conveying applications. The rubber backing’s damping effect prevents damage to the ceramic wear components, adds to mat longevity, and greatly lowers noise.

Wear-resistant hex mats prevent erosion and abrasive wear in conveying and bulk material handling systems. Their flexible design allows for the lining of intricate systems, including fan blades, chutes, hoppers, and more.

Ceramic-Lined Valves

In addition to their wide-range of ceramic wear components, Ceresist also offers ceramic-lined valve solutions for highly erosive and corrosive applications, such as:

  • Cosmix Ball Valves
  • Isolation Valves
  • Mini-Control Valves
  • Mini Ball Valves
  • Butterfly Valves, and
  • Component Manufacturing
