The company Noreva GmbH (Non-Return Valves) was founded in August 2001 and started with 9 employees who were formerly working for Mannesmann Demag, the inventor of the nozzle check valve 1935.
Noreva has continuously grown and currently has a staff of 55. All of these employees have many years experience with non-slam check valves. With their track record of supply, Noreva has developed an enviable reputation for quality and reliability of product at internationally competitive prices. Further adding to their strength, Noreva in 2007 joined the Goodwin PLC Group.
Noreva is located in the industrial area of Mönchengladbach in Germany, where only some inventory is kept with the majority of their production being tailor-made to customer specifications. All Noreva non-slam check valves are characterized by non-slam closure, low pressure loss, metal-to-metal sealing and are considered maintenance free. Noreva check valves can be found all over the world in various industries, whether liquid or gaseous fluids, in different applications such as oil pipelines, utilities & offsite plants, chemical plants, compressor stations, power plants, water pumping stations, desalination plants, and various others.
Valve Solutions
The axial flow non-slam nozzle check design is a significant step in innovation when it comes to check valves. This philosophy differs significantly from the common norm of selecting check valves simply based on the pipe size. Driven by the requirement from industry to ensure surge mitigation, axial flow check valves are an unmatched check valve solution. When evaluating the dynamic response of a check valve it is valuable to look at the operating parameters of the system. It is possible to determine the reverse velocity created by a check valve design when compared against the system’s deceleration. The basis of varying responses is determined by the inertia propagated by the mechanical closure of the valve onto the process media. Similarly, the same deceleration can be used to determine the expected pressure surge, transient hydraulic, created upon closure.
