DESIGN DETAILS

      • High-strength ductile iron body reduces the weight and improves the valve’s long-term durability.
      • These valves can be used for isolation or throttling applications.
      • VAHN-TECH’s double eccentric butterfly design lowers the friction between the disc and the seat.
      • Dovetail seat design with multiple raised rings increases contact with the disc while lowering friction during closure. The seat is fixed using epoxy resin-based adhesive.
      • 14” to 72” valve disc is designed with an arch shape and through-disc to provide better flow capacity, increase strength, and reduce weight.
      • Tangential pins connect the shaft and disc. These provide a strong connection and are exchangeable to increase the lifetime of the valve.
      • All iron parts are coated inside & outside with fusion-bonded epoxy for corrosion resistance as per AWWA C550.
      • The valve design is compliant with AWWA C504 & API 609.
      • VAHN-TECH’s AWWA C504 Butterfly Valves are certified NSF61 for Drinking Water and NSF372 for Lead Content.
