C508 SILENT CHECK VALVE (NON-SLAM)

https://n2x.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/6-573x392.jpg

OVERVIEW

Silent Check Valves protect against reverse flow, where noise pollution or water hammering is a critical issue. These valves can provide not only quiet performance but also lower head loss. VAHN-TECH silent check valves are available in Ductile Iron or Cast Iron and are used in applications such as Clean Water, Pre-cleaned Sewage Water, Fire Fighting, Irrigation, District Cooling and HVAC System.

DESIGN DETAILS

      • High-strength ductile iron body reduces the weight and improves the valve’s long-term durability.
      • The advanced dynamic design of a single body with diffuser provides a streamlined flow and assures lower head loss.
      • One of the lowest head loss check valves, resulting in savings towards power costs, valve disc with a shorter plunger, and ability to spring reverse faster than most check valves.
      • All iron parts are coated inside & outside with fusion-bonded epoxy for corrosion resistance per AWWA C550.
      • Bronze bushing reduces wear and tear.
      • VAHN-TECH’s hydrodynamic design with spring ensures non-slamming and prevents water hammer.
      • Stainless steel spring hidden in the diffuser and protected while valve is in operation. When the check valve is open, the plug will seal the cavity where the spring is located. The spring is both hidden and protected.
      • The disc will positively close before reverse flow, maximizing the closing speed up to 0.2 sec.
      • Installation can be vertical, horizontal, or inclined.
      • F/F complies with EN 558-1 Series 14.
      • Valves are certified NSF61 for Drinking Water and NSF72 for Lead Content.
