DESIGN DETAILS

      • VAHN-TECH’s Anti-Shock Air Release valve has an advanced design with a simple mechanism and a strong float to prevent cracking during sudden water hammer & quick closure.
      • Aerokinetic mechanism: resists blowing shut under high air velocity even up to sonic speeds of air.
      • For the potential water hammer area or transmission pipeline, it is recommended to use an anti-shock combination air valve to prevent severe water hammer damage or impact.
      • An anti-shock device is installed on top of the bonnet, which slows down the exhausting airflow during filling to prevent hammer impact. Under vacuum conditions, the device will drop down and let large air into the pipeline.
      • No arms or levers, preventing vibrating, bending, and direct closure of the float.
      • Smooth barrel outside of the float, controlling float movements within the specified guide rail.
      • Guide barrel is equipped with a rubber buffer to prevent collision between the float and the barrel. Draining is facilitated by the addition of holes on the side of the barrel.
      • All iron parts are coated inside & outside with fusion-bonded epoxy for corrosion resistance as per AWWA C550.
      • VAHN-TECH Anti-shock Air Release Valve fully complies with manufacturing standard AWWA C512 and BS EN 1074-4.

      • No arms or levers, preventing vibrating, bending, and direct closure of the float.
      • Smooth cage outside of the float, movement restricted to specified guide rail.
      • Bottom rubber buffer prevents collision and allows easier draining with proper holes around the cage during vacuum.
      • All iron parts are coated inside & outside with fusion-bonded epoxy for corrosion resistance as per AWWA C550.
      • Suitable for distribution pipelines. For pipelines with a high risk of water hammer, an anti-shock device is recommended.
      • VAHN-TECH Combination Air Release Valve fully complies with manufacturing standard AWWA C512 and BS EN 1074-4.
      • 1” to 2” available in threaded connection. 2” to 12” available with ANSI Class 125 and Class 150 flanges.
      • Valves are certified NSF61 for Drinking Water and NSF372 for Lead Content.
