DESIGN DETAILS

VAHN-TECH manufactures superior cast steel OS&Y gate valves in a variety of designs, materials, trims, packing types, sizes (2” thru 48”) and pressure classes (150 thru 2500). 

      • Gate valves designed in accordance with API-600, solid or parallel slide wedge/disc, bolted bonnet, welded bonnet or pressure sealed bonnet.
      • Flexible wedge is the standard for 4” and above.
      • Body and bonnet castings are precision machined with joint accurately machined.
      • One-piece bonnet for better alignment and fewer parts for sizes up to 16”.
      • Carbon steel, low-temperature carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, and nickel and exotic alloys available.
      • Gate valves option in accordance with API-603 only for stainless steel & nickel alloys.
      • Gate and Globe valves for Cryogenic service with a gas column in accordance with BS-6364 upon request.
      • Flange dimensions in accordance with ASME B16.5 for valves up to 24” nominal diameter and ASME B16.47 for valves 28” and up.
      • By-Pass, lantern rings, grease injectors, special connections, etc. available options.
      • Low fugitive emissions tested.

FEATURES

      • The valve seat adopts the structure of the O-Ring seals and float valve seat before it tightens.
      • The soft sealing inlays fluoroplastic, which allows for double sealing—fluoroplastic to metal and metal to metal. At the same time, fluoroplastic can remove the dirt of the gate disc.
      • A grease injection nipple outside the valve injects the sealing component through the seat to achieve bubble tightness.
      • VAHN-TECH’s Slab Gate Valve structure ensures the gate is tight against the seal, whether the disc is open or closed. The seal is protected from the media, extending the service life of the product.
      • In a full-open position, the flow resistance coefficient is negligible, resulting in almost no pressure loss.
